Our Collection

Handcrafted on Dandeniya Estate

01
Harvesting
On Dandeniya Estate, Harvesters identify Cinnamon bark ready for harvest. A swift cut at the base loosens the stem & is removed to be transported to the Peeling Atelier.
02
Scraping
The Master Peelers skillfully scrape the harvested bark using a Koketta blade, removing its outer layer, revealing virgin Ceylon Cinnamon in its most pristine and fragrant form.
03
Rubbing
The inner bark, now exposed, is subjected to pressure, to separate it from the core stem of the bark. Artisans roll a weighted brass rod, preparing it for the next step of precise peeling.
04
Peeling
The loosened bark is carefully assessed for quality, then prepared for peeling with two precise longitudinal incisions at either end. With practiced hands and a curved blade, the artisan precisely draws the delicate inner bark from its stem extracting the virgin Ceylon Cinnamon
05
Quill-making
Inner Virgin Ceylon Cinnamon bark is gintricateently coiled and layered to form, cigar-like structures graded as Quills, each one bearing a unique fingerprint of nature and craftsmanship.

Handcrafted with Kindness to People & Planet

Across our Cinnamon gardens, long-term impact initiatives audited by Dilmah’s Merrill J. Fernando (MJF) Foundation respond to real, on-ground needs.
Our most urgent focus is nutrition. With 39% of families affected by malnutrition, our mission is to eradicate generational malnutrition and restore food security for the children of Cinnamon-growing communities. Each year, we provide over 18,000 nutritious meals.
Beyond nutrition, our work spans clean drinking water, access to educational technologies, and ongoing medical camps, including preventive health screenings, reproductive health education, and essential sanitary care strengthening the dignity, health, and opportunity across the Ceylon Cinnamon communities.
